A Message of Hope

When people are supported emotionally, connected to their culture, and given space to grow their talents, they can heal and build better lives.

RAHA was formed by young refugees who saw many people โ€” especially youth โ€” struggling with trauma, stress, loss of culture, unemployment, and lack of guidance. We exist to respond to these challenges in a simple and practical way.

Who We Are

A youth-led movement raising hope in Kakuma Refugee Camp since 2022.

Born From Need, Built By Youth

Raise Again Hope Again (RAHA) is a youth-led community-based organization working in Kakuma Refugee Camp and surrounding host communities. The organization was formed by young refugees who saw many people โ€” especially youth โ€” struggling with trauma, stress, loss of culture, unemployment, and lack of guidance.

RAHA exists to respond to these challenges in a simple and practical way. We believe that when people are supported emotionally, connected to their culture, and given space to grow their talents, they can heal and build better lives.

People living in Kakuma Refugee Camp face many difficulties every day. Many youth have experienced conflict, violence, displacement, and separation from family members. These experiences often lead to trauma, stress, depression, and hopelessness.

At the same time, many young people are losing their native languages and cultural identity. There are limited safe spaces for counselling and emotional support. Youth lack positive activities to develop skills and talents. Social tension exists between different communities. RAHA was created to address these problems in a human and respectful way.
